Dr. Alan Savoy is originally from the Washington D.C. area but really considers Jacksonville, Florida his hometown. After completing his Medical School training at The University of Nevada, he then completed his Internal Medicine Residency, GI Fellowship and Advanced Endoscopy training with honors at The Mayo Clinic. He has worked in the Portland area since 2004 and has no plans to leave the Pacific Northwest. Dr. Savoy is also an avid cyclist and a musician; he is very passionate about all things music, and is an accomplished drummer and multi-instrumentalist. He also enjoys traveling to music festivals and delving into local culture. He is known for having spent 6 months honing his gumbo recipe.
